August 21, 1934

I, Spencer Heath, of Elkridge, Maryland, make this the first codicil to my will executed in London, England, June 9th, 1932 and sent to J. Kemp Bartlett, Baltimore, and for safekeeping

I reduce my bequest to the United Committee for the Taxation of Land Values, Lt, 94 Petty France, London, England, from Eight Thousand Dollars to Two Thousand ($2000.00) Dollars.

I increase my bequest to Nancy Loental and Ada Lynes from One Thousand Dollars each to Two Thousand Dollars each ($2000.00).

In addition to the above three gifts, I give to the Henry George School of Social Science of New York City, Oscar Geiger, Director, the sum of Two Thousand Dollars ($2000.00).

I make request of the United Committee, the Manhattan Club and the Henry George School that they use these gifts, so far as possible, to promote the policy of abolishing all taxation save upon the unimproved value of land alone and not for any teaching or agitation against private property in land nor for any supposed destruction of its selling value by collection of taxes from productive enterprises through the hands of land owners instead of by destructive levies on productive enterprise to the demoralization of the whole mechanism of production and exchange.

Signed at New York City this 28th day of February, 1934.
