Carbon of letter to J.W. Newman, president, Dunn & Bradstreet, Inc., 99 Church Street, New York, N.Y., October 22, 1953, and reply from Roy A. Foulke, Vice President, October 27, 1953

Dear Mr. Newman:                            October 22, 1953

Through the current “Land & Liberty” of London, England, chief organ of the British Land Communists, it comes to our attention that your organization is publishing a pamphlet favorable to that species of communism, namely Land Communism, so ably advocated by Henry George in his famous dialectic of that movement. In this connection, and thinking it may interest you, we are sending you copy of an article recently being published that throws valuable light upon land administration by the normal processes of ownership and exchange as contrasted with any practice of political administration that might be governmentally enforced or imposed.

The pamphlet in question is referred to by its title: “A study of the Concept of National Income.” May we obtain a copy from you?

Trusting that Dunn & Bradstreet is not unwittingly lending aid to any propaganda against private property in land, we remain,

Very truly yours,

“How Come that we Finance World Communism” enclosed.
